An extensive flagship build for Waitomo in the developing eastern boundary of Hamilton and the Ruakura Superhub. This service centre sits within in the ‘golden triangle’ for New Zealand’s supply chain, and it will be anchored by a 30-hectare inland port.

AND. Architecture was involved from the inception, working closely with all stake holders including Waitomo Petroleum, the primary tenant, along with the respective consultant groups for the McDonalds and KFC – the other lease holders within the development.

In addition to the site planning, AND. Architecture undertook the design of the flagship “C-Store” for Waitomo. In addition to several sustainability initiatives, which were implemented across the design of the site, the building was designed to be flexible so that it could adapt to the tenant requirements and needs. This was found to be of benefit during construction as AND. Was able to quickly adapt the building during construction as tenants were onboarded.
